Here are some of the alarming statistics. The CDC notes that drug overdoses accounted for 34 percent of all suicide deaths among women, compared with 8 percent among men. One in 10 women's suicides involved opioid painkillers. Each year, 6,600 women (18 daily) die from overdose of prescription painkillers and 940,000 women are rushed to the ER for drug use and misuse.
